It is very important to create not only a beautiful environment in your living space but also a healthy one. And the level of humidity is one of the main factors here.
Scientists have proved that too dry air in an apartment can harm your health. It dries up the mucous membranes and exhausts them. This factor decreases the ability of membranes to resist infections and viruses. Dry air also leads to constant tiredness, bad condition of nails, skin, and hair. It is especially important to keep an optimal level of indoor humidity if there is a baby in the family, as its organism is not that strong yet.
There is a very simple way to check if you need to wet up the air in your house. Take out the bottle of water from the fridge and watch it for 5-10 minutes. If the condensate evaporates in 5 minutes – the air is too dry.
Humidifiers is a perfect way to solve this problem. They help to keep the air in the apartment optimally wet at all times. There are a few types of them:
- Steam humidifier. Its operation is based on heating up the water and releasing the steam jet. The humidity spreads around the room by itself.
- Traditional (cold evaporating). The water comes onto the porous material from the reservoir and evaporates into the air.
- Ultrasound. The water is sprayed around the room equally due to the ultrasound emitter. This is the best and easiest way to keep an optimal level of humidity in the room.
Some humidifiers have additional options as cleaning, ionizing, ozonizing, and aromatization which make them more functional and convenient to use.
There also other ways to wet up the air in the house. You can keep the reservoir with water next to the heating device or place the bowl with hydrogel in the room. Do not forget to refill the water in the bowl and it will be a decoration and humidifier at the same time.
